Once Lobos Challenge

Hi guys,

played the Once Lobos Challenge on my last stream as I remembered doing that back in the 90ies.

What is it?
Easy, play with Once Lobos (96/97) vs the best clubs in the game and see if you can:
- Win the league
- Stay without defeat
- Win all matches

PLAYER TEAM: Once Lobos

CPU TEAMS: Barca, Real, Milan, Juve, Ajax, Sao Paolo, Newcastle, ManU (change shirts to blue!), Dortmund

Match length: 3 min
Pitch: Random
EQUAL = OFF
Legs: 1

On stream, on first try I managed at least to win the league, but it was crazy close.

(Download and copy it to main SWOS directory, eg C:\Games\SWOS 2020\swos\..)

AMIGA / Emulator - ADF disk: files.swos.eu/tmp/LOBOS.adf
(Use it as save disk in DF0 with any emulator or transfer it to your Amiga! Go to LOAD OLD COMPETITION and select LOBOS.DIY. The file also contains a current selection of custom tactics.)

So, go for it!!! No save-load-cheat please... You should play it in ONE session You can of course play with custom tactics! Session last approx. 60 mins!

So far I did not manage to win this again! Tried it on Amiga (FS-UAE) and SWOS 2020 again.

Also, Redhair is also struggling...

I tried it twice
1) Without tactic and SWEEP - I gave up after 3 matches
2) With BOMBPC4 - 2 wins and 1 draw after 7 matches, but not able to win

I guess I have to adapt the way of my defending. Which means tackling tackling tackling and hit the ball away no matter in which direction.

The hardest challenge is to stay calm when you concede a silly goal

forget it, I checked your video... also custom
really hard to stay concentrated over the whole time of a match. its really like on sensidays in ko round. every mistake is punished.

That is so true... That's why I came up with this challenge.

Funny, I had my best results and winning the league on my first attempt. Since then, I struggled to win it again. But it's gonna happen.
You are free to try this challenge on whatever system, Amiga, Amiga emu, DOS etc... All versions are accepted in the challenge.

Interesting, your attack was better with standard, but defense better with custom.

The first league I played on custom tactic. Then in the second league I instantly lost 0-6 and 0-5 against Juventus and Newcastle before getting used to standard defense. So the number of goals conceded during the second league might not be representative ...

Also Barcelona just trampled me into the ground.... really hard to make some passes at all ....

But probaby my chances are better with Sweep, because of creating chances with 2 attackers is easier.
Can't wait for the next try
