what are the chants saying?

Does anybody know what the crowd are chanting in the original SWOS (i.e. swos, swos9596, swos9596ece, swos9697, not the modern updates)?

One of them sounds like "one nil" to me, but there's another one that sounds like "show us your finger" (5 syllables) but I'm pretty sure that's not what they are saying, although I can't stop hearing it.

This question has been going around my head for almost 30 years, so if anybody knows I'd definitely like to hear their thoughts.

First crowd chant (Miiilaan, Miilaaan?) and secondary crowd change are hardly to identify!
Between crowd chant = ERE WE GO

The rest is explained by the names on the list.

Thanks for that. Those files look like they are from an archive of the PC version of the game. I have a copy of the 96/97 PC version and I'm able to play all the RAW files with `aplay -r 22050` (I just did a full playthrough) but they don't seem to contain the chant that I'm thinking of. Actually I've never even heard half these chants before, I think a lot of them must have been made only for the PC version.

I have original ADFs and can see the SFX.IN1 / SFX.IN2 files. If I play them with (here from the 24/25 update which still contains the chants) it is the very first one!

slightly better (uses 8 bit signed instead of 16 bit)

Unfortunately I cannot extract the files from the Windows exe because I am on Linux and cannot run the installer. Is there a git repository or something with all the files?

After much thinking and relistening, I'm pretty sure this chant is "show us a defender". Which makes sense.
