hi mate,
I ve done 1 season in career mode ( with Synchro update 09) with fear to lose all, cause some crash and.....
nothing!!! the game continue correctly!!! :D
good work Synchro and all peoples that built it! P.S. I ve played in Brazilian league and why there s 2 points for victory?
When SWOS came out 2 points was correct (and if it changed before 1997 I guess they just didn t change it)
Carling, I am in retirement at the moment - it s good to see some more people interested in updating.

when playing a match and scoring i only here the main crowd chants like EREWEGO.CHANT8L ETC. so i dont think editing these files makes a difference
does anyone know what files i should be editing?

It should work if you follow these instructions:

the chants can be a bit random from game to game, but to hear only three is definitely possible, depending on the scoreline etc. The basics of how it works Playa mentioned in another post:
Files:
1. erewego.raw / Chant after 1-0 to 5-0 swos chooses as depends on his intention chants 7-0 to ~
2 . onenil.raw / Chant after 1-0 or 0-1
3 . twonil.raw / Chant after 2-0 or 0-2
4 . threenil.raw / Chant after 3-0 or 0-3
5 . fournil.raw / Chant after 4-0 or 0-4
5 . fivenil.raw / Chant after 5-0 or 0-5
6 . easy..raw / Chant after 6-0 or 0-6
7 . notsing.raw / Chant during goalscored draws 1-1,2-2,3-3-4-4, etc
8 . boowhisl.raw / Chant after losen home game.
9 . homewinl.raw / Chant after winower opponent in home game.
10. comblue.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit blue until scoring
11. combrown.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit brown until scoring
12. comgreen.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit green until scoring
13. comred.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit red until scoring
14. comwhite.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit white until scoring
15. comyelo.raw / Chant of home team whose main kit yellow until scoring
So, if a game stays pretty much scoreless for most of the match, you ll only hear a couple of different chants etc. I ve also noticed that when I play PC SWOS on my real DOS machine, rather than using DOSBox or VDMSound, I seem to hear more chants, but that could just be my imagination!
Are you keeping the new chants the same size or just slightly bigger than the originals? I know when I made my mod I had to do a lot of testing and tweaking until they played correctly...
