The SWOS Turkey community is organizing a special tournament on February 3, 2026, on the European side of Istanbul. This event, taking place in this unique city that connects two continents, will be a significant gathering for Turkish SWOS players. This tournament will also lay the foundation for future international events.TURKEY SWOS COMMUNITY COMING TOGETHERThe SWOS Turkey organizers stated, "On February 3, 2026, we are organizing a tournament on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, a city that unites Asia and Europe. This event, which we will organize among ourselves as Turkish players, is a significant step towards our goal of hosting international tournaments in the future."The event will be held in Fun Cup format within the AMIGA SWOS WORLD OFFLINE rankings, offering participants the opportunity to earn SRN (x 0.5) worth of points. The tournament will take place on February 3-4, 2026, and is open to Turkish SWOS players. The success of this event will pave the way for larger events in the future, hosting players from all over the world.COMPREHENSIVE TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTUREA comprehensive technical infrastructure has been prepared for the event. Four desktop computers, four laptops, keyboards, and numerous game consoles will be provided for participants. Accommodation in a central location, unlimited alcohol, and Turkish food will also be part of the event.THE SWOS MOVEMENT IN TürkiyeSensible World of Soccer (SWOS) is a legendary game released for Amiga in 1994, a milestone in the history of soccer games. With its simple yet highly effective gameplay mechanics, extensive database of thousands of teams and players worldwide, and 20 seasons of career mode, SWOS still boasts an active player community today.There is also a passionate SWOS player base in Türkiye. Turkish players registered on the SWOS United platform (sensiblesoccer.de) have been competing in online leagues for years. Istanbul 2026 will be an important gathering for the Turkish SWOS community and an opportunity to gain experience for future organizations.INSPIRED BY INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES SWOS United, founded in 2001, is the world's largest SWOS community with over 15,000 members. They regularly organize online and offline leagues and tournaments, and annually hold major events in a world championship format under the name "Sensible Days" in different European cities.The SWOS community has organized many successful events over the years. Sensible Days 2025 took place in Schokland, Netherlands (July 26-27, 2025), Sensible Days 2024 in Billund, Denmark, and Sensible Days 2023 in Berlin Wandlitz, Germany. Significant events were also held in Billund, Denmark in 2018 and 2014.Inspired by these international experiences, Turkish organizers aim to first build a local community and then make Türkiye an international hub in the SWOS world.
