What do I need to bring?

Your game controller.  If you need an adapter to play on a real Amiga (i.e. USB to DB9), please let us know.
You need to bring your own towel.
The accommodation provides bedding (pillows & bed linen), so there is no need to bring sleeping bags etc.
Toiletries are not provided, so bring the usual overnight stuff, however we'll buy some shower gel for the bathrooms.
Ear plugs if you think you need them for sleeping in a room with other people.

What shouldn't I bring?

Nuts are not allowed on site.
Hair straighteners  and aerosol sprays are also not allowed, due to sensitivity of smoke alarms.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Yes, but only outside, not in the building.

What are the catering arrangements?

We will provide food from Friday evening dinner through to Monday morning breakfast.  We'll cater for a mixture of meat eating and vegetarian options.  Beer will be provided, plus coffee, tea and snacks.

When can I arrive?

We have access hopefully from 3pm, at latest at 4pm on the Friday.  We have to leave by midday on the Monday.

Anything else I need to know when travelling to the UK?

Check that your phone allows data use outside of the EU.
You need an electronic travel authorisation to travel: www.gov.uk/eta/apply
Almost all places accept cards, but some cash is useful.

Do I need to be any good to play at Sensidays?

Some of the best SWOS players ever will be at Sensidays and in the group stage, you'll probably get to play at least one of them, as the groups are created based on a seeding system.

However, you don't need to play at a high level to enjoy the tournament. There is a mixture of abilities in each group, so you can still have some close matches. Even if you don't get through to the knockout stage, there is then a second tournament (Carrot Cup) where all those who did not make the knockouts play to win a prize. This way, you will definitely get to play against people your own ability.

On the Friday evening, the Amigas will already be set up, so you will also have the chance to practice, before the competition starts.
